Public Transport
It is important to note that there is no parking on College grounds for students, and no free parking (for more than 4 hours) close to College grounds. Public Transport is therefore the best way for students to get to and from Sevenoaks. The Armadale Trainline is now open again, including the updated Cannington Train Station and Bus Port, which are conveniently located right outside the College entrance on Sevenoaks Street. Please visit TransPerth Journey Planner to plan your journey to Sevenoaks from anywhere in the wider Perth Metro area.
Drop Off & Pick Up Zone
Parents/carers are encouraged to use designated drop off zone at the back of the College on Lake Street and the beginning and end of each school day. Please be aware there is no area for drop off and pick up at the front of the College or inside the College grounds.
SmartRiders
Sevenoaks is a registered school for online ordering of SmartRiders. The College covers the cost for students to receive their first SSC Student SmartRider card but any replacement cards will incur a $5.00 fee. Cards are issued with a zero balance but can be topped up at any of the usual outlets registered for autoloading, as well as on the Transperth website. Parental approval is required for the organisation of a Smartrider and this is done during the enrolment process.
Organising a Smartrider is as simple as visiting our Career and Resources Hub where our Librarian will take the necessary photo and order the card for you. It takes approximately a week for the card to be delivered back to the College and students can then collect their card from the Library desk.
Travel for students at present is provided by Transperth free for any journey Monday to Friday during the school year and at concessions rates on the weekend and during the summer School holidays. Students are required to tag on and off as normal and must carry their card when traveling on Transperth systems to be entitled to this free/reduced rate. As the College organised Smartrider includes the student’s photo, these can be used as proof of identification as required, including as part of the necessary documentation for obtaining a driver’s licence. The Smartrider also includes the student’s curriculum number, which is required for WACE examination purposes.
Should you have any questions about SmartRiders, please see the Librarian in the College’s Careers and Resources Hub.
