Q: Does being a Senior College mean you accept mature students?
A: No, students must be between the ages of 15 and 17 when enrolling. Sevenoaks accepts students into Year 11 who can progress to complete Year 12 up until the end of the year in which they turn 19 years of age. If a student has missed a year, or would like extended time (3 years to complete a Pathway), we can support them to complete their learning journey with us here at Sevenoaks.
Q: What does a flexible timetable mean? Can my child come and go as they please?
A: Our flexible timetable is designed to help students better transition to Uni, TAFE or employment. Our timetable operates between 8:40am and 4:30pm, however each student will receive their own personalised timetable. Students are only expected to attend each day from their first timetabled zone to the end of their last timetabled zone. Every day is different, and students may start and/or finish early on any given day. Some days, students may start at 9:40am and finish at 2:00pm, other days they may be here from 8:40am to 4:30pm. Students may also have free zones in their timetable. During these zones, students are encouraged to study, research, or complete assessments/homework in the Library or computer rooms. They may also choose to relax in areas throughout the College, in the courtyard, or at the College café.
