A Year of Achievement and Community
As 2025 draws to a close, we reflect on a year filled with our community connections and success we have achieved. Guided by our commitment to Find Your Future and our Young Adult Ethos, students have embraced opportunities to take responsibility, develop independence, and prepare for life beyond school.
This year has been a testament to the strength of our community and the success of our Young Adult Ethos. By focussing on our CARE values – Compassion, Achievement, Respect and Excellence, we continued to support students in finding their future and achieving their goals.
Our Year 12 Presentation Ceremony and breakfast farewell provided the perfect opportunity to acknowledge the achievements of our graduating class, celebrating their resilience and readiness to step into the next stage of their lives. University, apprenticeships, TAFE and employment were all a part of the next step for our students.
The inaugural Year 11 River Cruise was a memorable occasion that strengthened friendships and celebrated the journey ahead as our students look to 2026.
We welcomed future students by introducing them to the opportunities and pathways available at Sevenoaks through our Cannington Community College Year 9 visits.
Excursions and other programs were aplenty. Students engaged in enriching experiences including the Royal Perth Hospital P.A.R.T.Y program, Big Picture Academy excursions, and Follow the Dream excursions, each reinforcing our ethos of preparing young adults for diverse futures.
Our Workplace Learning continues to support students in demonstrating their capacity to shape their future as they gained valuable skills in professional environments. Our industry partners and extensive employer database ensured all students had access to their future career pathways.
We recognised the dedication and achievements of our athletes who exemplify teamwork and perseverance through the 2025 Sports MVP award presentation. Our teachers also challenged students in a 100 km bike race. This was a great event that brought together staff and students in the spirit of fun and fitness and being a member of a team.
Community and Culture are also a part of Sevenoaks. World Teachers Day was celebrated as we honoured the dedication and professionalism of our teaching staff. Halloween Activities were a creative and enjoyable celebration that strengthened our sense of community. We raised funds for Kanyana Wildlife through a huge morning tea.
Finally, we elected our 2026 Guild members for Year 12, including our Captains and Vice Captains, empowering student leadership and ensuring that student voices continue to shape our college culture.
As we enter the holiday season, we extend our thanks to students, families, staff, and community partners for their ongoing support. We wish everyone a safe, restful, and joyful break, and look forward to an inspiring 2026. Thank-you for being a part of the Sevenoaks community.
