The Student Services Hub is a dedicated space and one-stop-shop for support! The hub is home to our amazing Student Services team and features a quiet, relaxing space for students to escape to. There’s always free fruit and snacks available, as well as board games and mindfulness activities.
The Student Services Team assists students in the following areas:

James
Youth Worker

Hi I’m James and I’m the new Youth Worker here at Sevenoaks. I specialise in student wellbeing, mentoring, and pastoral support. I work across the College to support the social and emotional development of students, with a focus on building resilience, engagement, and pathways to positive educational outcomes.
I’m proud to bring a strong background in youth development through structured sporting environments. I’ve coached boxing for eight years and hold a 2-Star Judging accreditation with Boxing WA. My experience across a range of sports, including rugby league, touch rugby, and volleyball, informs my approach to mentoring, leadership development, and positive behaviour support. I’m committed to ongoing professional growth, with a long-term goal of officiating at the 2032 Commonwealth Games in Brisbane.
I’m calm, consistent, and have a student-centred approach. I’m committed to creating safe, inclusive, and supportive environments where young people feel valued, supported, and empowered to reach their full potential.

Hi my name is Michelle and I’m one of the Youth Workers here at Sevenoaks. I have been here for over 10 years supporting students throughout the College. I love the variety and diversity of people at Sevenoaks and enjoy working closely with students to support them on their pathway to independence.
I also run our school Preloved shop called Back on the Rack. The shop is run in conjunction with students and open to the school community each week. The shop sells clothes, shoes, household items etc and a heavily discounted price.
When I’m not at work I enjoy shopping, binging shows, camping and travelling. I am a summer person so when winter comes along you will find me with layers on trying to keep warm.

My name is Mandy and I joined the Student Services Team here at Sevenoaks in May 2023. The past 8 years I have supported young people in the community, providing AOD and Mental Health specific counselling. I am passionate about my work with young people and always aim to explore ways of providing the best support and environment that helps young people to grow and deal with any struggles coming their way.
Born and raised in Germany, I understand the challenges that come with moving to another country that has a culture and language different to your own.
I absolutely love travelling and exploring different parts and cultures of the world.

My role is centred on mentoring young people to achieve to their highest potential.

I’m known for fostering a supportive environment and providing essential healthcare services while encouraging positive lifestyle choices.
My passion lies in making a positive impact on the lives of our students by providing them with the knowledge, tools, and resources they need to make healthy choices that will benefit them throughout their lives. I believe that a supportive and informed approach to health education can empower students to lead happier, healthy, and more fulfilling lives. Mr John Cook

Kaya, I am John Cook, and I am one of the Student Support Co-ordinators at Sevenoaks Senior College. I am originally from New Zealand where I was an Accountant prior to moving into teaching in 2008. I moved to Australia in 2011 and have taught at the College since 2017. Since 2003 I have assisted young people develop life skills through coaching junior rugby union teams, through the Colleges Advocacy program and now in Student Services.
As one of the Student Support Co-ordinators my role is help students engage with their learning at the College, assist students develop their young adult learning ethos, and apply the Colleges CARE values. As each student has chosen a specific learning pathway, along with Parents and College Advocates, I am here to assist our students find their future.
Mrs Linda Lynch

My name is Linda Lynch, and I am delighted to take on the role of Year 11 Student Support Coordinator for 2026.
I have been part of the Sevenoaks Senior College community since 2008, beginning as the Community Service Coordinator and contributing extensively to our Engagement program. In 2023, in response to evolving community needs, the College broadened its scope by introducing the Community, Health and Education Support Services Pathway. Alongside my work in Student Services, I continue to collaborate with Registered Training Organisations (RTOs), support learning within our Simulated Medical Clinic, and engage with students through the Workplace Learning Hub.
In my role as Student Support Coordinator, I am committed to fostering a supportive, inclusive, and engaging environment where every student is encouraged to succeed. My focus is on empowering students throughout their learning journey, equipping them with the skills, confidence, and opportunities needed to achieve their personal and academic goals.
Sevenoaks Senior College offers a diverse range of pathways tailored to meet individual aspirations and strengths.
