Art Club
Art club is supported by our wonderful Art Teacher and is an opportunity for students to focus on their interests, relax and be creative.
Students come and go according to their free zones and work independently on things that interest them.
We currently have students working on drawing (in visual diaries), creating their own watercolour paints (next step is making acrylic paint and gouache), painting and printmaking!
Anime Club
Anime club at Sevenoaks Senior College is a group where students who share an interest in anime, manga, and Japanese pop culture come together to watch, discuss, and enjoy these forms of entertainment. As a club we watch episodes of popular or classic anime series and talk about various aspects of anime and manga, including our favourite characters and art styles (without any spoilers). The best part…snacks are provided!
Community Blanket
Community Blanket is a club which consists of crochet connoisseurs and newbies, lots of tangled yarn and maybe even a few dropped stitches. This club is a warm and welcoming group of students and staff who design and crocheted squares to be arranged into a community blanket for the those in need.
Dance Club
Dance Club was started by some very talented students in 2024 and has truly taken off! Students meet after school on Fridays, as well as free zones, to choreograph and practice dance performances.
Dance Club performs throughout the year at break times and at events such as Harmony Day and Sevenoaks Got Talent. In 2024, the club also choregraphed, performed, styled, filmed and edited their very own music film clip!
Q-mmunity
Q-mmunity is a vibrant and inclusive student club dedicated to supporting and celebrating LGBTQIA+ identities. Meeting once a week, Q-mmunity provides a safe and welcoming space for students to hang out, share experiences, and foster a sense of belonging. The club is actively involved in planning and organising events that enhance the visibility of the Queer community within our College. Notable events include Wear It Purple Day and Pride Month celebrations, which are widely supported by the school community. Through these initiatives, Q-mmunity plays a crucial role in promoting acceptance, understanding, and pride amongst all students.
STEM Club
There is a global need for a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) workforce especially within the digital revolution. Most of us are familiar with concepts such as Robotics, Artificial intelligence (AI and chatgpt) and digital manufacturing, especially embedded in Engineering.
By joining our STEM Club. you will be part of the Hydrogen car race (sponsored by Chevron), a global event where the winners are given an all-expenses paid trip to America for the finals! We need your experience for us to improve our ranking from 12th place to the top 3 positions in the WA.
This club runs after school and on some weekends, so make a commitment if you want to see STEM integrated into a project using clean and sustainable energy to save our planet!
