The Health and Nursing Industry Pathway is delivered and assessed on campus at Sevenoaks by the AMA Training Services RTO code: 2010. The AMA have equipped an outstanding industry standard simulated work environment.
This pathway is one of your first steps toward your chosen career in the health, allied health and nursing industry, you may progress to:
- higher level qualifications, and/or
- employment in roles such as a therapy assistant, a physiotherapy assistant, an allied health assistant, a podiatry assistant or a speech pathology assistant, or various other health and community assistance roles within aged care/disability/mental health sectors.
In Year 11, students will enrol in:
- the 52890WA Certificate II in Community Health and Wellbeing^,
- an English course,
- Workplace Learning (ADWPL) to complete compulsory work placement with a relevant industry partner, and
- three courses of their choice. Human Biology (General) and Health Studies (General) are recommended.
In addition, students can apply for the 52895WA Certificate IV in Preparation for Health and Nursing^ mid Year 11 and continue over Year 12.
In Year 12, students will have the opportunity to:
- continue in the 52890WA Certificate II in Community Health and Wellbeing^, or
- continue in the 52895WA Certificate IV in Preparation for Health and Nursing^, or
- enrol in the HLT33115 Certificate III in Health Services Assistance^ including compulsory work placement with a relevant industry partner over one year.
