We have just received the below communication from the City of Canning regarding the closure of Coker Park for “scheduled maintenance”.
The park will be totally out of action from Monday 24 Feb – Mon 24 March.
This will especially affect those students who drop off siblings at CCC and then cut across the oval to us in the mornings and after school.
“scheduled works will be taking place on Coker Park Oval during the period from 24th of February – 24th of March. As a result, we kindly ask that the school refrains from using the oval for any activities between 6:00 AM and 4:00 PM each day. This includes sports, physical education classes, and any informal recreational use by students and staff.
Additionally, we request that when traveling to and from the Leisureplexes, students and staff use the designated pathways and avoid cutting through the oval. Instead, they should walk around the oval, outside of the fenced area (the red line shown in the below image), to ensure their safety and to avoid any disruption to the works being carried out.
Please be aware that machinery and equipment will be present on the oval throughout this time, and while every precaution will be taken to secure the site, we urge extra caution. We also ask that students remain vigilant before and after school hours when moving through the surrounding area, as there may still be machinery or materials present outside of active work hours”
