The Clontarf Foundation exists to improve the education, discipline, self esteem, life skills and employment prospects of young Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander men and by doing so, equips them to participate more meaningfully in society. Clontarf partners with the host school to provide additional engagement, experimental learning opportunities and wrap around support, supporting the school’s behaviour management plan and values. Clontarf’s style is very positive with a long-term behavioural change rather than behaviour management focus. All Clontarf activities are based around the 5 pillars which underpin the program:
- Education
- Leadership
- Well-Being
- Employment
- Sport
Clontarf also provides school support, connects with family, engages with local community, and provides support beyond school. Ultimately, we want our boys to finish Year 12 and transition into full time employment.
