On March 18, the College promoted our multicultural diversity with a festival celebrating Harmony Day. Our theme this year was Everyone Belongs and involved more than 50 cultures represented at Sevenoaks.

The event commenced with an opening ceremony that recognised the traditional owners of our land and included native dancing by our Football Academy boys. Another highlight of the opening ceremony was the Chinese lion dance by the Ging Mo Academy. Students took part in the many diverse cultural activities that were on offer that included African drumming, Spanish flamenco dancing, didgeridoo playing, henna tattooing, turban head wrapping, American rodeo mechanical bull riding, boomerang painting, tribal mask decorating and interacting with baby Australian farm animals.

Following the activities students, staff, their families and community groups enjoyed an international food buffet. Dishes were prepared by students, staff and their families and were enjoyed by all. The festival culminated in an international concert with student performances that entertained the College community.
